I think Accrington Stanley will get to the final this year. He's easily been the most consistent player and he's got a great forehand. Otherwise Djokovic for me.

This would be my ideal final this year. I like Murray (I think his timewill come), but would love Safin to do very well (ala last year)- but it'll never happen for him in terms of reaching a Wimbledon final. He's mostly always been a right crazy guy, but to be honest I'm never surprised at anything he does. He's virtually unplayable when in the right frame of mind and on top form (which is seldom, but still...). One of my all-time fave players, never a dull moment.

What? He's a bit surly and a bit of a nark- sounds alright to me.
Is Jeremy Bates playing this year? He's great. And once took Matts Willander to five sets.
What's happened to Leyton Hewitt in the last few years? He had 5 amazing years, getting to a Wimbledon Final at about 19, and becoming the youngest-ever World number 1 not long after that etc, but these days he's nowhere. Mind you, a lot of people will no doubt be glad about his form taking such a nose-dive, as he was meant to be a right wanker, e.g. once he called an umpire a "Spastic". Then there was the time he was playing the black American, James Blake, and he accused a line judge of ruling one of his shots wide/out, only because he (the judge) was also black, and was favouring Blake.
Roddick to win, 25/1. Go for it.
I'm backing the British-born Scotsman.
Don't do it to yourself, he is going to choke.
Reuters says he will be playing in a kilt - with no underpants.
I think I'll watch it on the radio.
Federer apparently came out yesterday, dressed in a white jacket and waistcoat.
Cliff Richards has yet to come out.
What time is the Scottish choke artist playing?

About Hewitt: age and fatherhood has mellowed him and he's lost the indomitable edge, will and fire he once had. His game has declined from what it was and he never had any one big weapon anway, but was extraordinarily effective at his best - a extremely tough customer back in the day, and yes the best for a time. It's not just because the competition wasn't so deep overall (plus a pre-vintage Federer). Hewitt was a great returner, great passer, and very formidable off the baseline. His game just got caught up and bypassed.
He's had horrible luck with injuries this past few years, though I honestly reckon without all that and playing a lot of tournaments he'd still be in and around 15-20 in the world for sure. With someone like Blake amongst that region of the rankings it's odd that Hewitt isn't these days.
I liked Michael Chang.

No mean feat, Wilander was top notch. Bates was hardly any great shakes, but to be fair reached the 4th round of Wimby once or twice. An beat a tenage Agassi in US Open.
Having said that Greg and Henman were like tennis gods in comparison to Bates, Castle and the like.

Edberg and Mecir were my faves. I hated Lendl and Sampras, wasn't fussed on Becker either, but I do like Boris now (and did so towards the end of his career) when he was no longer the man to beat as such.

That'll be the 'choke artist' who's clocked up 13 titles in his short career thus far, mmm?
