Our local PBS station recently changed its lineup and they replaced Monty Python and Red Green with Executive Stress and French Fields. Maybe its just me, but that hardly seems an even swap. Luckily we still have Keeping Up Appearances and As Time Goes By on before and Doctor Who on after, but man, what a downer.
Never heard of Red Green, but oooh at the others.
Red Green is a Canadian show that stopped production a few years ago. Its based on those old fashioned men's outdoor shows and is very funny in the way it makes fun of men's insecurities and shortcomings. The Handyman's Corner is a segment where something new is created from junk by using massive amounts of duct tape. I love it and look forward to catching reruns of it every week on the other PBS station in the area. Its kind of gentle old timey humour.
