Don't forget to use our directory to discover who to follow: https://www.comedy.co.uk/features/twitter_directory/

How many of them write their own tweets, I wonder? Could be an opportunity for a witty, time rich/cash poor writer to ghost-write for a busy cleb.

God, is this really where civilisation's heading? People desperately aspiring to be famous, who then don't even have the time, ability or inclination to write 140 characters-or-less posts about their own meaningless lives? But pay someone to imagine the minutiae of their day for them?

Come - friendly asteroids - and fall on Earth.

It needn't be so bad. I don't know much about twitter, but I do know that some people use it just to inform the 'followers' about significant dates, gigs and stuff. Anyone could write that sort of stuff, without civilisation suffering any sort of moral dilemma.

Come - friendly asteroids - and fall on Earth.

Slough is still standing, so hopefully your invocation will fail.

You just write to them using the @ sign. So, for example, if you wanted to talk to the BCG on Twitter, you'd write in the update box...

@UKComedyNews You guys are the best!

Is that on his page or mine?

I joined up, and sent him a message, asking him if he'd send some contact details to my email address, but nothing's arrived. To be honest, I don't even know whether I did it right. I've also asked Hat-trick, Talback and Channel 4, but haven't had any luck.

Pretty much all of them. As Tim says, its not hard for them to write 140 characters. I don't think people like Stephen Fry can read all their replies though. If you enter '@stephenfry' into the Twitter search box you'll see how many messages and questions the poor man gets sent every hour.

I'm finding Twitter a very useful tool for discovering information. Normally the PR people put loads of barriers in the way, but with Twitter it's possible to get news direct from the stars. They often Twitter news or giveaway clues about what they're working on way before any press release etc.

Any page. Just write in the 'What Are You Doing?' box with @TheirName at the start and I'll be directed at them. Try it on us if you want (begin with @UKComedyNews to send us a message).

Thanks for the help. I've just sent the same messeage to Charlie Brooker, so I'll wait to see if he replies.

Is this possibly turning into something of a stalking thread?
