Feb 1998 - met through the newspaper
April 1998 - she moves in and sells her flat
May 1998 - got engaged
July 1998 - expecting first child/Jo made redundant
April 1999 - Hannah born but has to go back into hospital for a few days
September 1999 - got married
October 2001 - bought first house together
December 2001 - Hollie born
January 2003 - Charlie born
October 2003 - I'm made redundant but get another job straightaway
August 2006 - our only overseas holiday since our honeymoon
December 2007 - forced to sell up for money reasons
May 2008 - forced to leave rented house for a much smaller place
December 2008 - work bonus and pay rise refused, work not going well
March 2009 - get bonus and payrise back after knuckling down.
May 2009 - mum dies
June 2009 - Sort out finances with family help
At the end of the day I'm happy to be with my wife. We've had ups and downs but without each other we'd never have the bundles of hatred, er, joy that are our children. We are quite similar and that's not always a good thing because we have a habit of getting the same things wrong ratherb than having a sensible other to keep a hand on the rudder.
Joking aside I can't imagine life without her.
