The book is brilliant. You should see the movie... they do do a good job of it.

I shall take your advice Ellie. Im not usually a crying man but if you insist there will be tears I will go for it.

Was someone poking you?

No. I genuinely was. There's a bit where Delgado - the police dog who had to leave the force when he lost his sense of smell - gets his smell back. I defy anyone who's a bit of a loser to not be affected by it. Whistling nnocently

That's a great film too, but I didn't cry on that one. Same author too! ;)

Shawshank is a great movie, no tears though surely?

No, no tears were shed during that one.

I imagine it doesn't take much for you to moisten up, Ellie. ;)

As for movies that made me cry, I had a tear at the end of the foreign film, The Lives of Others. Also at the end of Il Postino.

The Elephant Man.

I don't know if it counts but animations of Oscar Wilde's children's stories; The Selfish Giant and The Happy Prince.

Deuce Bigalo: American Gigolo

Interestingly, I can't think of a single TV show that has moved me to tears. Which probably says something quite damning about the medium.

Or you Chip! I know I've squeezed a few tears out plenty of times watching TV shows.

The last ever episode of Friends nearly had me.

Well, this might damn me here, but the last TV show I remember crying to, was when I watched the last episode of Battlestar a week or two back. Teary
