Never found John Belushi funny. Though I find James Belushi hilarious, isn't it ironic? (Of course, John never teamed up with a sassy dog. He died too young.)

Was John Belushi the first of the SNL crowd to go on and be a film star? Because if he was, he's got a lot to answer for.

Yes, I too always call people I like a c**t.

Casting aspersions on Mr Emery are you?

DICK EMERY CHARACTERS
...most famously Mandy, the brassy blonde who always misunderstood the street interviewer and interpreted his question to have a suggestive meaning, so that it would lead her to slap him on the shoulder as she announced, "Ooh, you are awful - but I like you!"

This thread gets my nomination as one of the most ridiculous threads ever.

Anyway - I think translation is needed:

DICK EMERY: "Ooh, you are awful - but I like you!"

CHIPOLATA: "Ooh, this is one of the most ridiculous threads ever. - but I like it!"

Geddit?

See Chase, Chevy.

To be fair, you did get Bill Murray out of SNL (think he probably was making films before Belushi). However, you also get the likes of Rob Schneider...

Chevy Chase. Thank or loathe Lorne Michaels for the many SNL stars who went into movies.

No love for Will Ferrell on here?

I was just about to say! And SNL gave us Tina Fey too.

More to the point; why post in 'one of the most ridiculous threads ever' in the first place?

To prove how ridiculous it is.

Ridiculous is good, banal is bad.

Poor Morrace is f**ked on both fronts then. :)

I still think Chevy Chase is funny. He made some terrible movies but overall I like him in the good ones he did.

Why? 3 Amigos

Chevy Chase was good in the National Lampoons films.
