The Best and Worst moments of your career

On Twitter yesterday someone had posted a link to a blog post about their top five best and worst perks over 10 years working in the journalism industry.

There were some amusing tales in there which has prompted me to write my own list which I've added to my blog: http://orbellcomms.wordpress.com/2009/06/15/10-best-and-worst-events

To give you a flavour, here's one of the stories with a picture of me looking alluring on a bed.

CeBIT - Hannover, Germany (2004)

CeBIT is a mamouth trade show that takes place every year in Hannover, Germany. I only ever went once and despite the company going back for a second crack a year later, it was fairly obvious it wasn't worth the hassle of us attending. Any visitors who passed our appallingly positioned stand were only there for the giveaways and would stare back at us blankly whenever we explained our business model. Our accommodation those few days was something to behold too as we were basicly renting an unfurnished flat. Virtually every stick was moved out prior to our arrival apart from the beds. There was no common area other than the miniscule hallway or kitchen and none of the windows had any curtains. However, even this was prerable to what we nearly faced on the first night as we couldn't open the door to the flat for nearly half an hour despite having a key.

Tell me your best and worst moments from your career whether it was doing building work at Swedish Nuses home or rupturing your spleen in a freak coffee machine incident.

I don't have a career, I have a job. :(

(Am loving your bed though.)

My job (Office Management) can be seen as a career. It's not mine though. I haven't even started yet.

What would you like to do, Elliee? In an ideal world?

Chip, give it up. She isn't going to say, "You."

Well maybe she might. Worth a try anyway. ;)

I'll have you know I'm three-dimensional, young man.

Aw. Well congratulations to Ellie for being the only person on the board to bring the human side out in him!

It's probably got nothing to do with her massive tits.

;)

I want to work behind the scenes in the stand up side of comedy. From touring, to getting DVDs out there. Artist Management would be great. I have the chance ahead of me at the moment... but it really depends on a lot of things. My drive, and ambition although positive, isn't enough to get me there at the moment due to the position being created for myself by the organisation.

Oh I'd also like to do Chip.

Worst moment of my career? Getting hired.

(And good luck with the rest)
