I was bored this evening so I very quickly recorded and animated this topical sketch. Acting and animation are abysmal but hopefully the odd line is funny? Anyone? Anyone?!
A good week for Mahmoud
To be honest Shoey, your acting let it down, a bit. Nice you can produce decent animation that quick, a testament to when you put effort in. Nice joke at the end too.
I'm currently practicing with Anime Studio Pro, was wondering, is the lip syncing automatic with the audio track or is it a lengthier process?
Aye! The acting truely did suck! That's why it's not uploaded to my proper Shoepie account. Glad you liked the joke at the end though. Maybe the Newsjack people will be kind enough to record a better version for me.

Finally! It can be automatic although the results aren't brilliant. You need a switch layer with several different mouths shapes in, then you select a .wav file as the source data and Anime Studio does the rest.
It's better to do it manually though and select the mouth shape as you're scrubbing through the audio. You don't have to be amazingly precise, just guess. The news reader on here's voice was done in about 15mins with only an A,E,O and a closed mouth.
Not to shabby Shoepie, I liked it. Apart from "Pr-ee-mark", it's "Pr-eye-mark"!
Nice little bit of fun that and a clever angle on the story.
I'd strip it down to a couple of newsheadlines and fire it off to NewsJack before 5pm.
Thanks. Already sent to NewsJack. Figured if it didn't get on there I might as well do something with it.
Now I just need to find someone in Swindon who sounds like John Snow because I sure as hell dont!
he seems quite a nice guy why not just ask him?
Some good jokes but the sonorous voice work, shabby animation and lack of a musical spike let it down. Find someone with a good news voice, put a little more effort into the visuals and start putting together a music/SFX library and you'll leap rungs.

LOl yes he does. If I told him Krishnan Guru Murphy was interested I might be able to play them off against each other.

I knew the voice sucked which is why I didn't spend very much time on animation. It's frustrating not having a voice. But point taken. More can be done. Cheers.

Your voice was clear, and I'm sure with practice, would be passable for these quickies, on this occasion though it lacked emotion.

Yeah, finally! LOL I watched a tutorial on YouTube and suddenly it didn't look so daunting after all.
Cheers for the tips

I'm moving house in a few weeks, I currently live in a flat so I'm a bit self conscious doing 'voices'. I will attempt a more booming and passionate performance once I know there's nobody upstairs thinking I'm weirdly talking to myself. Plus next time I'll get monsterously drunk!
Yeah post your progress on the lostmarble.com forum for feedback and give me a shout if you get stuck. Mr Middle Distance is also a very good AS animator.
Watch out Brian Blessed!
Cheers
