Krod Mandoon And The Flaming Sword Of Fire Page 3

I thought that Lucas and MacQueen where the only good people in it. No-one else made me laugh. Strange isn't it - in ElvenQuest the best character was the villian, and it's the same here.

I've posted a few reviews of the show on the site and those who have reviewed it hated it too. One also commented that there was only one woman character, and that the thing she does the most is have it off. To be honest, I think I could write better sexy female characters than that.

I have seen better with Blackadder, and Chelmsford 123.

My missus was just saying it reminded her a bit of Chelmsford 123 when Jimmy Mulville's name came up in the credits.

Agreed. Although ElvenQuest was a funnier more rounded show that I kept coming back to week after week. I don't think I'll be bothering with this again.

I saw Krod Mandoon last night and I have to say this , I have seen it floating round the internet for the past few months and had been waiting for it to hit our screens. I sat down with my partner and watched it and I couldn't stop laughing . My partner is an ex D&D player and a great fan of Lord Of The Rings and he is the one person I trust when it comes to show if they are good or bad. The fact he wants to watch it again next week makes me feel this is a good show. I myself have never had the pleasure of watching a show from the states and laughing as hard as I did last night the cast I thinki is brilliant and each actor fits his or her character perfectly. As the programme finnish my partner turned to me with a smile on his face and said to him it was like watching Meet the Spartans does D&D . I Love this show and would hate it to stop or be pulled its taken the BBC years to put anything on that is any good at all and for the first time I think they have it .

But did you think it was good?

Hell yeah, I've never laughed so much. I'm not a Lucas fan but he plays a great baddie, so two faced. :D The character I liked the best is Krod - he is the anti-hero and yet tries to be the hero; sometimes it works and other times I don't think it will. But as long as it makes me laugh I will keep watching it.

Just watched episode one on iPlayer. My word, it's shit.

I recorded last night, havent seen it yet. Sounds interesting from what I've read.

Well, being that I'm in the US, I've now seen all the episodes and I'm kind of up in the air about how I feel about it. I am glad I stuck with it, primarily because there is nothing but crap on TV here at the moment. However, what works over here and is considered unique and quirky doesn't necessarily work for you. I feel like they were trying too hard, but at the same time didn't try hard enough. Does that make any sense?

The female character was awful. And a real unlikeable bitch. Agree with Dolly about the dance sequence. Good show though. I can understand that people don't adore it, but I don't get all the hate.

I don't understand all the hate either. It's not the best I've seen, but it's certainly not the worst. I rewatched the first episode and I think they're on the right track, but it's the kind of thing where it has to grow on you. I'm curious to see what could happen if the programme gets picked up for another series, but I don't know that it will be given the chance. As for the characters, I enjoy not liking the female character. It's fun to not like someone sometimes.

I quite liked it. I think it did suffer a bit from having the first two episodes stitched together... but Lucas and McQueen kept me watching. Ace double act.

As for the gratuitous pole dancing scene... I think that might have been put in for the benefit of people like me :$ Lovey

P.S. Thanks to Andrew and buttmonkey for joining up to the website to comment on this show. Great to hear your thoughts.

This was a horrible, filthy, sticky mess.

The equivalent of drinking a mug of the world's most putrid tea.

And just when you think the beverage cannot get any worse, you discover a dead mouse at the bottom of the cup.

An absolute abomination.

I agree with Don.
It was funny in parts & was quite an enjoyable watch.
But it wasn't anything special.

I think its safe to say that Krod Mandoon is a marmite show you either love it or you hate it but it is new and I think all new show deserve a fair trial. I think to give it another couple of episodes and then pass judgment on it would be better. Imagine all the comedies that would have gone down the pan if we all condemmed them on their first showing.
