Another of my favourites is being cancelled! I swear someone has been monitoring my DVD collection and going through them all one by one axing them!
My Name Is Earl Page 2
Definitely not coming back: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/a159550/my-name-is-earl-not-returning.html
Dan
Again,
The thing that made the show for me is the reoccuring characters, from the town hooker with one good boob, to Kenny the gay guy. You never know when they will pop up. My favourite episode? It's gotta be when Earl is teaching the foreigners English and they rescue him because they learned road directions. Brilliant!

That is the one bloody episode I have succeeded in missing every time a repeat comes round!!!
I don't think subsequent series have ever quite scaled the heights of the first, so I am not too devastated by the cancellation. I agree about the recurring characters - always a joy to spot Willy the one-eyed mailman or TV's Tim Stack.
I'm just glad that I missed quite a lot of the last series, so I've got a few left to watch.
It's been one of my favourite comedies ever since it started.
I'm so gutted that's it's finishing
And Scrubs has finished as well.
What have I got to watch now? 2 & a half men?
Don't make me do it.
I'll miss Catalina's jumping.
And Crabman. And Randy. And Earl. And Joy. And Earl's monoped ex-girlfriend. And Mr Turtle.
I think I'll miss Joy's hideous car, the Brat. My neighbor has one and it makes me gloomy whenever I see it. Thinking back, I think the first season was my favourite. It's the one I've watched over and over. I'll never be able to look at a large print bible the same way ever again and I will forever call ferrets "snake dogs."
And lets not forget the most important thing: it kept Jason Lee from making as many crappy movies as he usually does. It kept him at a 2 movie a year limit.
Mallrats - Ace
Chasing Amy - Meh
Dogma - Fantastic
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - Hilarious
Clerks II - Not bad
All the rest - Yeah, you're probably right.
Ah, Kevin Smith films...
Sometimes I really think he had very little to say after Clerks. To me a one-hit wonder. Clerks II was dreadful (and not just in comparison to the first either).
Quite liked Chasing Amy, but yes otherwise it has been diminishing returns.
They're one of those things you either love or hate. Like marmite, and anal rape.
Mmmm, anal rape - no, sorry, marmite, I meant marmite...
Kevin Smith rules! All of his films are great. Zack and Miri was hilarious. I will miss My Name is Earl, though.

Well I never realised he did that, but I enjoy it also.
