But why don't men wear skirts if they're more comfortable? Imagine a gentle breeze wafting around your crotch. Maybe it depends on the climate, but the Scots are tough enough to handle it. (Fnarr, fnarr - yeah.)

It's not so long ago that trousers (pantaloons? Crimplene slacks?) were a bit outrageous for women. Give it a few hundred years and English men will find the courage to wear skirts.

Dunno about Vikings and all that, I imagine they impregnated my great-great-grandmother before yours (assuming you're English) and then built that big wall to keep your granny out.

Never mind, it's up to you if you choose to continue to wear cloth tubes on your legs. :D
