No, Spaced is superb, Aaron just has astoundingly odd taste in sitcoms.

The lack of anything funny for starters!
If it was on BBC1 at 8:30pm and had a laughter track, Aaron would love it.

Poor, poor Simon.

What do you recommend? I am open to suggestions.
What other shows do you like? You mentioned The Thin Blue Line (very good choice), so what about things like Blackadder, 'Allo 'Allo!, Peep Show, Fawlty Towers... Um. Outnumbered? Definitely give that a go if you don't know it already. Possibly the best sitcom of the decade.

Black Books is a goodie.

I like Rowan Atkinson a lot, and have always intended to get around to Blackadder, but haven't yet. I guess I have always thought that I would buy it rather than rent it from Netflix.
Heard of 'Allo 'Allo, I will put it in the queue.
Haven't heard of Peep Show, will take a look at it.
Own Fawlty Towers.
I will also take a look at Outnumbered.
I own My Hero. I have seen almost episode of every Keeping Up Appearances. I have seen most of The Vicar of Dibley, I liked the first season, but thought it got worse and worse. My wife owns Father Ted, but I am not a fan.
I am looking forward to The Boosh, which gets released in region 1 format in July.

Indeed! The wife and I really enjoyed the first season, the second was good too.
Is it still being made?
No, it was last on in 2004. https://www.comedy.co.uk/black_books/
I'd suggest that you might like My Family, and The IT Crowd. If your sense of humour crosses to the absurdly crude, then Two Pints, Coming Of Age and (to a lesser-rude extent) Grownups are worth trying - if it doesn't, then steer well clean, as you'll hate them. The Inbetweeners is similarly crude, but ... well, it's hard to describe, but it's presented in a more realistic manner, rather than just being rude for the sake of it.
Coupling is very good, Green Wing too. The Old Guys and Reggie Perrin are new shows which may very well tickle you (oo er). I'm too lazy to check if it's been mentioned, but Not Going Out is also a really good programme.
