I had the same thing happen to me. My folks were still disturbed about watching The Exorcist and kept warning me about how scary it was. I watched it without jumping once and even laughed at a part. Good movie though but no longer scary for me.

Weirdly, I thought The Exorcist was pants and boring. But I didn't know anything about it before I saw it aged about 20.
That f**king Newt scared the shit out of me. I'm glad she died. Horribly.
