Good, the bad and the downright crap!

What sitcoms were just plain crap but managed to last the duration? Ideal springs to mind for me. It may be good for some people but I just can't get into it. Perhaps its just not my cup of tea. Discuss.

Is this for, or against? If it's the latter... :O again!

Terry and June, Bread, Butterflies, Duty Free, Man About the House, anything by Carla Lane except her obituary after her f**king rescue animals eat her alive.

I think Butterflies was a good show. It captured really well somebody trapped. And I also liked Duty Free. Keith Baron is a very fine comedy actor.

My nomination for a bad sitcom that has lasted an inexplicable length of time is Two Pints.

Two Pints is slightly more understandable than Grownups.

I put Two Pints, Grownups and Coming Of Age in the same pot.

Haven't we already covered this ground with the 10 worst sitcoms?

If you're going to instigate a rule that we can't endlessly regurgitate old discussions then this forum will die on it's sorry arse!

Red Dwarf, Mumbai Calling, Butterflies, Bread, The Worst Witch, etc.

Red Dwarf,

Get out.

Get out.

I tried hard to like Red Dwarf. I read the book and watched several episodes, but it was like a crap, unfunny rip-off of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy without any clever bits. I have never been able to comprehend Red Dwarf's popularity without making rude assumptions.

Maybe it depends on which episodes you watch. Close to half of the Red Dwarf eps still stand out to me as classics but some of the rest are pretty poor.
