Just killed a 3" scorpion in the kitchen. At first I thought it was a rubber band and started to pick it up with my fingers. Glad I have good reflexes.

It's only the second one I've seen in the 2 years I've been in this house. Scorpions don't bother me much; I've been stung DOWN THERE by a scorpion and it wasn't any worse than a wasp sting.
