The Apprentice - Behind The Scenes

I have some questions about the show.

- When is it filmed? My guess would be late last year as I know someone who works for one of the companies who were responsible for one of the treats that the winning team won, it was about November time when they said that the Apprentice people were going for a visit.

- Do the tasks take place one after the other, or one each week like they make out?

- Was the final filmed more recently or did they film it last year and keep the winner a secret?

- When the fired contestant walks out to the cab at the end, is that done on the same day as the firing, or at a different time?

I know the cab bit is done at different times as you can tell as they have different hair styles.

Thanks Dan, very informative.

How does Sir Alan decide who the winner is?
Sir Alan decides the winner on the basis of the final task, the boardroom, and their overall performance throughout the series. He makes his decision on the day of the final boardroom. Because there is a gap between the shoot and transmission (to leave time for editing), there is a concern about keeping the secret of who has won during that time, so as not to spoil it for the viewers. In order to ensure that the secret is kept, two endings are filmed, and Sir Alan doesn't reveal his decision of who he has chosen to the finalists and the production team until the day before transmission of the final programme

Ouch, that's got to hurt.

And here's me thinking they did all the tasks in front of greenscreen and that Sir Alan was completely CGI. Those tele peeps are geniuses.

So their expressions are fake when they're told they've won because they don't know if it's true until the day before. That's mad!

Yeah, that is really weird.

Yasmina did seem a bit odd when she was saying 'you won't regret this' and all that stuff. Guess that's why! You must feel like a right plonker.

Apparently the chocolate presentation was filmed 6 weeks ago, so I just read.

(This could all have probably been posted on the original Apprentice thread, by the way.)

It's al done with pixie dust and mirrors in my opinion.

Sorry, I'm relatively new to this site. But saying that, not sure how much it really matters anyway.

:)

You're right. I'm off to cool down.

Haha, well it's not the end of the world or anything. But we like to keep the forums tidy. And to have several different threads all about the same TV show would be untidy and difficult to keep track of, that's all. :)

Okey dokey. No problem. Now I know for future threads :)

You could read the rules too! :)
