I haven't seen the film in an age but I saw the stage show a few weeks back and it was great! I'm pretty sure it had a different ending to the film though.
Trevor-the-wife-beater-from-EastEnders was on particularly hilarious form as the Dentist.
In the proper ending they all die. But it was rejected after test audience reaction.

Yep, that's what happened in the stage version we saw. It surprised me, but then they all popped up as singing flowers from Audrey II's branches and it was ace!
Yeah it was a groovy spectacle, but I have to say that at the time Grease used to do it for me. And on the flipside, sound of music sent me to a very very dark place.
I started watching the original 1960s on YouTube version because of this thread. It's great! It even has a very young Jack Nicholson. Hard to believe it was from 1960 very black humour.
