I found lots of comedy in it. Off the top of my head; nana's magnifying glass, Denise's extensions, Cheryl emptying the colestomy bag in the sink, Cheryl's dates, Cheryl with Hula Hoops on her fingers at the funeral.

None of which made ME laugh. I was a massive fan of the episode pre this one as I thought they were incredibly funny, but I just wasn't laughing at-all. I'm still to watch 'The New Sofa' yet.

'The New Sofa' yet.

I thought The New Sofa was poor, very poor indeed. They should've kept Dave's parents as Maris Crane/Miss Mainwaring type characters. They didn't need to be seen.

Last of the Summer Wine, for the simple fact that it won't.

Gimme Gimme Gimme.

IMO Last two episodes were awful.

You don't keep up with the news!

Citizen Smith had a rather poignant ending, but I'm not sure if it was meant to be the last one or not.

They were the best things (only good things) in it imo. Strangely it seemed to be trying to be a completely different show to what it had been previously though.

Partridge? Although it sounds like the sort of think Dr Spaceman might say on 30 Rock.

Stewart Lee, taxi driver

I seem to remember the ending of Roseanne as being kind of disappointing, and especially the ending of Seinfeld. Everybody watched it, but I think that was because they felt they had to. We tend to do that: watch a show, even if we hate it, because we feel we have to.

It wasn't the greatest episode of Seinfeld ever, but I really liked the fact they all ended up in jail, and that it didn't seem to really bother them!

How did Cheers end?

The last Seinfeld was unfortunately indulgent.

Yeah a poor episode, one of their weakest for sure. Only a couple from seasons one and two would be competition in that regard. The rest of the show was all magic, though.

Has there ever been a sitcom (run rather than single episode) that has had a 'it was all a dream' ending?

Newhart. Top show.

The last episode of Larry Sanders wasn't great so I remember. Lots of celebrities and over two episodes I think.

How did Cheers end?

Unseen person goes to walk into the bar, finds it's closed, leaves.

(A bit more poignant when you actually see it.)
