In the magical kingdom of Sootyjland, but maybe for the next election?
Waiting for the Etonians? Page 4
I'm voting tomorrow afternoon after work. My polling station is 30 seconds walk from my house.
Not saying who I'm voting for though... although I'm sure those who have been around for a while could guess.

I reckon by the time the next proper General Election comes opposition will have coalesced around David "Tony Blair Mark 2" Cameron. Already the Guardian are in love with him, and he's done okay out of this expenses, sounding quite firm and decisive without actually promising to do anything particularly radical.

Blears has gone! New Government by Friday perhaps?

Why? Brown will just hold on till the very latest date possible to call a general election - ie., next May or June.
I'm wandering if he might end up killing himself, like that fella in the 18th century who stept infront of a slow train and waited for it to hit him.

Brown's toast. New leader probably by the summer. Labour will have to an election this time around. Tory Government possibly by the autumn. Hung Parliament maybe.

You can imagine Brown being the sort of person to fail in an attempt to kill himself.
If you fail at that then you really are in trouble.

Possible, but I'd give it a week. They're going to be too crippled by other headlines on Friday in order to risk that big bombshell too.

Yeh he'd take a massive dose of laxatives instead of cyanide and have a shitspolsion in the middle of PMs question time.
N.B. we are all aware that Tory MEPs are joining up with highly dubious right wing European parties aren't we?
Anti fascist at home, fascist abroad is not a good mixture,

Typical.
