A thought that The News Quiz tonight was very good, but that might be the fact that Steve Punt was on tonight and made it more akin to The Now Show. I especially liked Fred MacCaulay's cutting from the Daily Telegraph.

Yeah. I thought The Now Show people were 'banned' from appearing on The News Quiz for that very reason... but it seems they've let Punt on. Can't complain too much though - some good gags.
The 'stereo speaker' joke cropped up on both HIGNFY and The News Quiz last night I notice.

I think the date is currently supposed to be embargoed... but sod em, I'll be the first to publish it: it returns Monday 15th June 
15th June? Fantastic. I've been listening to some vintage Clue the last few weeks, it'll be nice to hear some new ones. And to see how the presenters do. I think Stephen Fry and Jack Dee seem like good obvious ones, but I think Rob Brydon will be better as a guest than a presenter. Let's hope I'm wrong!
I haven't caught up with this week's News Quiz, but HIGNFY this week was a good one. I've quite enjoyed this series of the News Quiz so far.
Not current, but I listened to a show called The End of the Road Show on radio 7 last week. It's from the early 1990s with Tony Hawks, Nick Hancock and Neil Mullarkey. It's really silly and bizarre, but definitely good fun. The next episode is on this Tuesday - worth a listen methinks.
I think that tonight's edition of The Museum of Curiosity was the best ever. The guests were great and the exhibits were even better.

I certainly enjoyed it a lot. Monkey Woman was good. And I love John Hodgman. He's my favourite contributor on The Daily Show and it was great to hear him outside that environment. I hope he pops up on a lot more British shows.
However, I did have a problem with Oliver James. I thought his choice of a nameplate was just an excuse to bang a political drum about the Credit Crunch. If I want tedious poltical point-scoring I'll buy the Daily Mail or engage Aaron in a discussion on Gordon Brown - I don't really want it on The Museum of Curiosity.
I had a listen to the first episode of Self Storage, but didn't enjoy it. I also tried to listen to that Elven Quest and had to stop after a few minutes. I'm trying to get to grips with radio sitcoms and failing at the moment.

I've not really listened to that much radio comedy, and thought I should really give it a go. I've listened to sketch shows in the past and enjoyed them, but never really had a go at sitcoms.

Radio sitcoms are an aquired taste. Unfortunately apart from Elven Quest, which hasn't tickled your fancy, there's no really good ones on at the moment.

Don't give up on audio sitcoms yet! Give Count Arthur Strong and Old Harry's Game a try (both currently on iPlayer)... they're widely regarded as being pretty good and perhaps a step up from the recent new stuff you may have been listening to.

According to what Mitch Benn said on Twitter, there is indeed an unofficial policy of not getting TNS people on TNQ, because it looks like Radio 4 only has twelve comedians to go round. He said that Steve went on once "in an emergency", so I'm guessing that his appearance last week might have been due to a drop-out as well. I think the Radio Times had an almost entirely different guest list to the eventual lineup, but that's the Radio Times for you.
