British Comedy Guide

More than just a forum! Page 2

We record the time each member joins, yes.

And then pass the information on to MI5, the Home Office and Indian Call Centres.

I came on here trying to find information on the Sitcom Trials and subsequently, discovered the forums. Now I spend a lot of time on here getting involved with discussions about the colour of peoples' faeces. It has been time well spent.

Does anyone else keep forgetting that the BCG is more than just a forum?

Does anyone else come here just for the forum?

There's a fair few members who don't ever seem to have discovered the other sections of this website... which I must admit does slightly bug me, because we put a lot of effort into these other sections (hours and hours of work)... but it's fair enough if people only want to use the forums.

What does annoy me is when people post a question that has been answered elsewhere on the website. However, the good news is that when we upgrade the forum we'll be linking the comedy threads and our programme guides together better so it'll be easier to flick from one to the other and back again.

There has seemed to be a lot of new members recently. Do you keep records of how many join each month Aaron?

Yeah, the re-launch and new newsletter etc has brought a few new people to the site (and encouraged some old members to return). Which is nice. I think it's fair to say the BSG, oops I mean BCG, is now the most-visited British comedy site on the web.

As we continue to add new features I think we'll get even more joining (as the benefits of logging in will become greater)... but, don't worry, we'll be looking to try and keep a community feel to the forums.

Alter the link of the Home button(s) of the forums to take it to the home page of the whole site.

Or you can just click on the Home button on the right handside where all the site links are. Angelic

I notice Mark and Aaron have removed our forum waffling from their front page. Presumably so that new users aren't scared off by forum thread titles about semen consistency and so on?

Yeah, 'What does your piss smell of?' might send out the wrong (although accurate) impression.
:D

This place will always be more than 'just a forum' to me, but for different reasons. :D

Like 'knowing' Finck! :D

Sigh, the key word was ALL (but I left it out )

So you have buttons labelled Home which take you to different places... VERY confusing.

Unimpressed Unimpressed Charmed

I was going to say you, but you won't even let him e-hug you!

I <3 BSG like I love my own mother.

I came here to write comedy, and those oldies here will remember my pathetic attempts... but ended up getting hooked on the message boards and my baby General! :)

Met some great people online here, and met a good few outside too.

I love BCG too! :)

By the way I like the "overheard on our forums" section of the newsletter. It's like we're famous getting quoted. :)

I came here to wrie comedy,

I don't remember that!

I thought your only intention was to brag about your tour of Australia! ;)

Those sketches you wrote, were very good! I'd forgot about them. Write some more dammit, write some more!

Haha... no they weren't. Terrible things... although I did twice win a sketch competition on here... hence why I have points on the leader board. Bless.
