BNP leaflet through my letterbox Page 5

I believe a lot of polticians go into public life because they genuinely want to try and make the world a better place.

Perhaps, but how they start and how they end up are different matters. Even the best of them - and I have worked with some decent ones - are morally compromised, and our politicians start so young these days that they are easily moulded, and ultimately corrupted, by the system. Much like our policemen, another job that should only be done by those who have gained enough life experience to develop their own moral compass.

I don't think we've had any BNP leaflets but we've had a UKIP one. With a picture of Winston Churchill on it if I remember rightly. That's like me applying to the College of Comedy with a photo of David Mitchell on my CV.

Laughing out loud

I think this is a cliche. I believe a lot of polticians go into public life because they genuinely want to try and make the world a better place. It doesn't often work, but I believe it's naive to suggest they're all out for what they can get.

Yeah when they are young, but they soon reliese what a bloody easy life it is and how much money they can make with directorships etc and the reasons they went into politics is long forgotten IMO, and why are the majority all fat? Greed IMO, Take out all the perks and privilages and Parliament would be a very different place full of people like Martin Bell who may actually do some good!!

I think there's a very interesting episode of Postman Pat in the making here.

Are they?

Are they?

I think so, have a look next time you watch PM Questions, well none of them look hard upthat's for sure?

Well, Prezza was a right porker (in more ways than one), and the Great Leader is hardly thin, but I think a lot of them not are rather thin - or at least not fat. Jack Straw, David Cameron, Alan Duncan, Chris Huhne, George Osborne, just off the top of my head.

How did he do good exactly? And how will a parliament full of people like Esther Rantzen do good? And personally, I would distrust any poltician who turned down the freebies on offer to them. I'd think, "What's their game?"

Don't know if you saw Question Time last night? There was some numpty in the crowd who offered the 'opinion', that Esther Rantzen should stand for the Luton seat, and Joanna Lumley should have any seat she wants. What a goon.

What a goon.

Are there any goon's left alive? They could stand?

I've just voted - haven't even heard of some of the parties on the ballot paper!

Found mine under lot of bumph - very entertaining.

The BNP should have put a mixed race or Black person on there leaflet that would have really confused things, that was the first thing I noticed about that leaflet was that it looked very pro-white (no surprises there!) but I thought the BNP was modernised and British Blacks were OK, its just all the non-British aslum seekers they are against? Would the BNP be considered more legit if they did welcome British Asians/Blacks into there party because if that was the case, I may vote for them, take out the racial elements and I like what they stand for?? (I think I admit I know very little about them, but they are pro-Britian and seem to be anti-europe etc)

Aw, their little plan has worked on you!
Bless.
