It is important to remember not all parties are the same.
The BNP are a pretty unpleasant organisation who go into politics for funding, respectability and media access. They then use this to slyly support their brothers in organisations like Combat 18.
The Greens would ost likely do something similar with anitvivisection protestors and climate changers.
Neither party has done anywhere near enough to make clear distance between themselves and similar thinking radical/criminal groups.
For us to vote these groups in because we're pissed over some petty expenses fiddling would be pathetic.
Our votes should go to genuine protest candidates (like Martine Bell) or The Monster Raving Loony Party.
I'd like to see Brussells packed out with Monster Raving Loony MEPs.

, I personally vote for the party that is opposite in power or the underdog, I think after a few years the party in power gets complacent and needs to be replaced. If each party had a maximum of 4 years IMO things would be better, at the end of the day they are all greedy liars anyway, and they wouldn't be there if not to benefit themselves?

Any party demanding radical change is going to attract loony elements, but focus on these should not be allowed to drown out the core message, it is whether this holds up that should be the key consideration. If you want real change there is no point voting for the least bad main party or 'sending a message' to the main parties with a protest vote. You need to vote for someone with an agenda which reflects your own beliefs - and to swallow any doubts you might have about sanity or competence of those attached to that agenda, which are, after all, second order issues, as by the time the party is in a position to assume any real responsibility, the cast list will have changed considerably.
I'm not sure people do vote BNP as a protest. I think a lot vote BNP because they genuinely believe in what they say. They genuinely believe that the root of all evil in this country is lax immigration and too many foreigners. I don't happen to agree with them, but I don't think people voting BNP are doing it to give the main political parties a bloody nose.
All parties have their loony elements. Frankly Labour was unelectable till it ejected all the bring back 90% tax elements.
But the BNP is more of a criminal conspiracy with a sideline in politics.

Becoming a dictatorship to keep out the fascists is silly.
They shouldn't be stopped from going, but it is unedifying. And will doubtless be used in all upcoming BNP literature.

Well that wouldn't be better if you're a fan of democracy. Unless you're talking about a set-term between elections?
And the theory is that they're there to do good for the country, to serve the people. In reality though, most of them are just power-hungry.

I think this is a cliche. I believe a lot of polticians go into public life because they genuinely want to try and make the world a better place. It doesn't often work, but I believe it's naive to suggest they're all out for what they can get.

Don't you know Britain is a hotch potch race consisting of Vikings (who consisted of whites and blacks in their brigades - Eric the Red's right hand man was known to be a tall Black Nutter), Danes, Romans (who had people from all over the world in its ranks and at one time even commissioned Britain to be ruled by a black emperor), Arabians, Jews, Africans (Formorians, sealers)... In fact the list could go on. Be proud that our country is a mixed up hubbabaloo of a broth and be done with it instead of all this..ooooh look at me...and ooooh look at them...IT'S BORING!!!
