BNP leaflet through my letterbox

My postman has just put a BNP leaflet through my door. He had an option not to do it and has just earnt himslf 3p for doing so.

BNP wankers, I f**king shit 'em.

The thing is though, he delivered my Cheers season 7 at the same time.

Should I be angry at the postie?

I understand that in London the Royal Mail are getting 7p a copy for delivering them. Anything for money, eh!

No bottom line is 3p is 3p and if he does a 1,000 then its £30.00. In current climate £30 might be the difference between paying rent and not doing so.

Your lucky, my postie puts through things marked HMRC, EDF and BT demanding monies.

Should I be angry at the postie?

Yes, if he had the option. Although mainly the management for being insensitive to the large proportion of their work force who the BNP do not tend to include amongst their number. Hard to believe, but there are some things more important than business.

Don't shoot the messenger!

Yes get angry at your postie, it's all his fault. He created the lax immigration rules, the unemployment, the perceived benefit fraud by foreigners and all of the other conditions necessary for the BNP to be considered a viable force in politics, championed by an angry and misinformed electorate.

F**k him and his black and white cat! The bastard!!!!!

I had one yesterday. Angry I've heard they've got into trouble (no!) by using American peoples pictures on the leaflet, probably as they couldn't get anyone that looked normal to be on them.

I don't really like the BNP's policies or the general attitude that prevails amongst their members towards immigration, however treating them like a dangerous neo-mazi group gives them more credence than they're worth. Stifling their voice just allows them to 'play the underdog' moreso.

If people are prepared to vote for the BNP then it just shows that we, as a society, have underlying problems with integration and toleration that could be addressed in better ways. I'd rather see the BNP die out because society evolves beyond the need for them rather than because they were politically 'stamped out.'

PhQnix, you remind of the serious part in every Waynes World sketch where everything stops for the informed discussion on the sociological topic. You are correct though, not as funny as Renegade Carpark's 'black and white cat/bastard' post, but still correct.

Yeah, my friends say I'm a killjoy too. :P

I'm not sure the very first selling point of any campaign leaflet should read "It's not racist to..."

Yes, and then to list 'Trafalgar - The Somme - Dunkirk - D-Day - The Falklands'

I remember when I was a shop steward for my union, at the annual meeting they showed us the 2003(?) BNP promotional video. The very first person you saw was as a Sikh saying 'I will be voting BNP'. HUH???

I've seen the BNP at work so many times and was once mistaken for one. It isn't nice at all.

Please explain, how did you get mistaken for a BNP supporter?
