My blood is mainly used in the case where there isn't time to test what blood type they are. As my blood can be given to anyone. 
I always feel so goody two shoes after giving blood!
Could be wasted on someone who dies soon after anyway! Or a murderer who's tried to do him/herself in after committing the wicked crime.
But, yeah, more likely it'll be of help.

Ahh, the universal donor. I'm a universal recipient. My type (AB+) can only be used by people with the same blood type. We're only 3% of the population, but we can accept any type of blood so I don't bother donating.
My daughter needed a transfusion last year. An anonymous donor may have saved her life and for that I'm grateful for everyone who gives blood.

Being a universal recipient I've always assumed that I'll get a pint of whatever is closest to its expiration date. 
I forgot my type now it's just the 2nd most common so I have gutter blood running through my veins!
Next donation is later this month, they better have some f**king club bars left this time!
