Hee! I do love that bit on QI.
There's also a link on that YouTube page to this other great clip: They say of the acropolis where the parthenon is...
Hee!
Is it my weekly time to watch that again?
I believe it is...
It's actually quite interesting all this has come up now. Tonight is the start of recording for Series G.
For those interested, here is the BCG Series G guide. The first episode is quite interesting in at least one respect - it has five people on it instead of the usual four.
Can we keep this thread, for once, on its original topic please; our own 'quite interesting' facts? Discussion of the comedy panel programme QI should be directed to the relevant threads in the Other British Comedy forum.
Thanks.

Apologies Aaron. I searched for QI, got this thread, and assumed it was to do with, um, QI. An understandable error as I hadn't read the previous nine pages first. I'll make sure I check in future.
Well this thread is in General Discussion, not Other British Comedy!
Anywhom. I shall rename it.

Ha! I was waiting for that!
I can see that now but as I said I was searching for QI and not looking where it was located.
Just to get this thread back on track I have a couple of QIs for you...
Scotland is the world's largest producer of raspberries.
There is enough iron in your body for three six inch nails.
Tonight proof that fact is indeed stranger than fiction. There was a documentary on BBC 2 Wales called Python and Aberystwyth.
Turns out that like a few other town councils Aberystwyth banned The Life Of Brian when it first launched in 1979. However they never bothered to repeal the legislation. The current mayor when told of this fact not only had the legislation changed but held a big charity showing in the university arts theatre which Terry Jones and Michael Palin went along to.
Why the big fuss? Cos the mayor of Aberystwyth is Sue Jones-Davies who played Judith in the film.
(Also posted in TV bit-actually not now)
I keep meaning to 'get' that documentary (as it was a repeat from Monday, IIRC). Was it any good?

I found it a bit boring to be honest but you do get to see Sue Jones-Davies in the nude
Gettting back to our QIs - I was once snogged by Jon Ginoli of Pansy Division.
The only people to have a writing Credit in the Monty Python series (apart from the team)
Were Neil Innes & Douglas Adams
