Two Pints - Series 8 Page 14

I'm glad Gaz chose Donna. That makes more sense to me. If it wasn't for the baby, he wouldn't have been with Janet anyway. He sort of half said that himself. Should make series 9 interesting if it happens. I think it will.

If Series 9 does happen I won't be watching it.
Have always been a 2 pints fan, but Series 8 just killed it off for me.

Series 8 wasn't the best, but it had its moments. Enough to keep me interested anyway.

Sheridan Smith will be on The Paul O'Grady Show on Thursday May 14th, i.e. tomorrow. She may mention S9?

She did. It certainly seems possible that it will happen. No idea when though.

Seems like Sheridan will be pushed to film it if she is doing 8 shows a week for a year on the west end.

Also sounded like she was gonna be in Benidorm series 3 playing a scouse slapper

I watched the show today and thought she sounded far from keen on the idea! She refered to 'them' as in "They will do another one if they want to" "They will keep making it" and she also mentioned twice how she would be in Legally Blonde from October.
If she dosnt sign up again then I think it is the end of Two Pints. Since Jonny's death she has become the central character whereas before it was more of an ensemble. To lose Janet would signal the end.

She is going to be very busy with Legally Blonde, that UK version of Bewitched (if it ever happens) and series four of Doctor Who Audios.

Plus series three of Gavin and Stacey. Maybe new series of Grownups as well? I'm not expecting series 3 of Love Soup any time soon, if at all, but nonetheless she's not going to be out of work for a while is she?

Musical casts usually work on 12 month contracts so unless they squeeze it in before that starts it could be a long wait!

That may be the case for supporting cast, but it's certainly not the case for the leads. I don't know how long she'll be in it, but it's not necessarily a blanket 12 month.

I am guessing we know if they will do another series when it is announced.

That is generally how it works, yes. ;)

Anyway. Just got to see the final episode. Thought it was a bit iffy, to be honest. Flipping back and forth too much, and it was out-of-character bastardry even by Gaz's standards. Good outcome though. :)

Seconded, makes me wonder if Susan still writes any of the 2 pints dialogue?
Looks more like somebody who just happened to see the Gaz being hit by an ambulance episode and probably 2 or 3 more episodes wrote it.

Starting to think this whole voting thing was just to see if enough people actually give a toss anymore.

Well Susan was credited as the writer of that episode. One of only 3 of the 8 episodes this series which she did write. (Not including the 9th special, which she co-wrote.)

Susan and Daniel Peak are the two best writers that show has had. Noboby else gets the show as well as those two. I don't think Daniel has writen an episode since series 6. I think Susan should write the show by herself like she used to.

Is the poor girl ever going to be cast as something other than a slapper/tart/promiscuous young lady* with a kindly heart/decent intellect/other slightly surprising but not totally unexpected quality* to make up for it?

*Delete as appropriate.
