They did indeed.

Is it just me, or are we the Ross and Rachel of the BSG???
No, you're the Phoebe and Joey.

I'm probably that really f**king annoying English bitch that went out with Ross.

Ah, because we hate each other, then love each other?
We were on a break!!!

Who was the woman who played her? She was quite succesful up until then, but I haven't seen her in ages.

But we'll get together eventually. You can't stand in the way of destiny.
Quote: Dolly Dagger @ May 11 2009, 6:17 PM BSTI think the British have a snobby attitude about vanity and making an effort, that the French and Italians don't have. Therefore women who care about how they look are usually seen as shallow and stupid in British society.
I think it's more to do what what British women think looks good than purely that it's against our nature to take care or make an effort full-stop.

I knew someone would say that.
Quote: catskillz @ May 11 2009, 9:38 PM BSTI've never been out with a non-British girl, but I remember one night, when I was 17, I was travelling on a train, coming back from Southport, with some mates, and this group of girls came into our carriage, from another carriage. After a few minutes of flirtatious looks in my direction, the best-looking of the group, who just happened to be French (probably an exchange student), looked at me, and said "Have you ever kissed a French girl before?" It was every lad's dream question, and what did I do? I stood up and exited the train, because we'd arrived at my stop!!! What a twat!
Anyway, you did the right thing. Leave them guessing. Don't let her get the upper hand! And, with no offence to yourself intended, no risk of her laughing in your face because it was a joke.
High opinion of herself, that one.
Quote: Dolly Dagger @ May 12 2009, 10:16 AM BSTI was astounded at university how many girls pretended to be dumb, didn't speak up or played up to some sort of bimbo image because it would somehow make them more popular with the male students and tutors. It's even been suggested to me that I should cut my hair to be taken seriously in the workplace.
Really? How very odd (all points). What university was that? I'd guess it's more of an "I'm a vulnerable little girl" thing than a specifically "I'm not clever" one. I think a lot of guys feel intimidated - or girls believe that they would - in that kind of situation. I guess that's getting closer to 'avoiding intellect', but still not quite as direct.

I've heard that said to people too, actually.

Yeah, but I stuck with my long hair!
! Stupid boy.
Lots of girls do that cutesy "I'm so kooky" bollocks.
