Fighting Talk

I don't think it has a thread yet but surely it deserves one.

For those who don't know, it's a tucked-away bit of comedy gold on BBC Radio Five Live. Not to all tastes, I'm sure, but if you are familiar with sport and sports broadcasting even a little bit, it regularly delivers.

It's on every Saturday morning on Five Live (you can iPlayer and podcast too). I had to come on after hearing this week's where former Arsenal legend Perry Groves confessed to an unsavoury incident at a Panasonic-sponsored awards do. The story and aftermath had me in stitches.

Any more Fighting Talk fans out there? And if so, who would be on your ideal Fighting Talk panel?

Not to all tastes, I'm sure.

I've mentioned this before. It's the best radio comedy by a mile, I think; the Top Gear of the radio. I usually listen in 'bulk' though, listening to five or six podcasts at a time.

Quality though.

Ideal panel (without really thinking about it too much): Brady, Jeffries, Rawling, Watson

Mills, Rawling, Brady and Bunce. That's fighting talk.

No place for Stuart Hall. Rolling eyes

No Jeffries?!? 'Sometimes, you gotta have lube...' He's the king of inappropriateness. Especially his view of Magic Johnson.
