I might take afternoon off and go down coz couple of things on that site seem similar to what I got but you know how it is when you read medical things online.

Aye, good plan. :)

To be fair it was nearly home time.

So why didn't he schedule you for a scan at a later date?

That not how we operate over here. If you go homethat's the problem dealt with. Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

Things like that worry me when people hold up the NHS as a model for what medical care in the U.S. should look like.

DaButt, I don't think it's entirely reflective of the NHS as a whole. And I can safely say that people claiming the US health system should be like the NHS will be talking about the structure rather than the exact detail like that.

The theory behind NHS is good but it's not in a great way atm since it's being strangled with cuts and stuff.

Make sure you aren't strangled and cut shortly before closing time or you'll almost certainly be left to die.

You guys'll be ok in a couple of years we'll probably be looking at your health service for tips

Robyn's forgotten almost all of her essay. F**k.

Do you have to rewrite it in the exam or something?

Yep. Unimpressed

Ah. Exams are so strange and arbitrary.

It's so stupid. I know the essence but keept forgetting bits. More revision for me soon. :(

That's what it seemed like, but I couldn't figure out why they just didn't call it studying. I'm used to the word "revise" meaning "to change or alter."

In the UK:

"Studying" is used more for when you first aquire the information, either at lectures or in the library etc.

"Revising" is when you go over your notes & books etc to get all the details straight, usually just before an exam.

Of course if you skipped the lectures then the revising is more like studying.

:D :P Cool

Bill thinks he has finally determined the reason why his classic sports car has been reluctant (or nigh-on impossible) to start when it is cold, a problem which has been happening for several YEARS!!!

I was looking in totally the wrong place: instead of coil, distributor cap, plug leads, points, electronic ignition..(which I have now replaced almost all of them with new expensive bits).. it was simply dirty contacts in the ignition-key switch.

:S Eh? :|

I guess it sounds better than "cramming," which is what we call frantic, last-minute preparation for an exam.
