Jane - is your show still in the running?

The finallists are up on www.every1sacritic.com now.

Sadly, Jane went out in the semis. Or I think that's where she went out.

Shame really, as she mentioned her sitcom to me at the NR Writers Meeting and it sounded interesting.

I see it's mainly flat share comedies in the final and two work place sitcoms - one of which is set in a charity shop. Interesting.

Nope Dolly, as Mikey said I'm out unfortunately. But as they say on all the game shows I had a great time and met some lovely people. I also learnt loads and it's given me a boost in terms of carrying on with it all. Will you be there next week?

I've seen three of the finalists (some two or three times!) and all along it's been interesting to see how the shows have progressed through the heats. In some cases they have different actors which can totally change the feel of the whole thing.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Ponderer's entry now as it's one of two I've not seen before and I met him at Dave Cohen's course.

Best of luck to everyone though. From what I've seen I think it's going to be an open race...

That's a shame, but well done anyway!

Not until they get air conditioning and a bigger bar. :D

:D But which is better? Air conditioning or a bigger bar?...
OK I'll brave the harsh conditions on your behalf and report back.

Jx

Okay. :)

I'm one of those people with a high internal thermostat and find most rooms overheated - one of the reasons I've always worn not very much!

Best of luck to everyone. I'm excited just to be there.

Part of the workshop.

Ah, okay.

Dan

Thanks to a gentle reminder from the oh so groovy Jane P, I too shall be attending the Finals.

Looking forward to meeting other BSG'ers and seeing the winning entries. I'm much nicer in real life, so don't be afraid when I approach you.

P.s. Bring your drinking trousers.

Hi All,

One of my actors has some major league casting directors eager to come to the 7pm show. The only snag is that there are no tickets left. If any of you have a ticket for 7pm that you don't want/can't use or would be happy to swap for a 5pm ticket please PM me.

He's a great guy and an excellent comic actor so I'm really keen to help him out.

Won't Declan and Simon just let him stand at the back or something?
