What are you watching on TV? Page 786
Just started re-watching the first series of the superb 'Bodies' on DVD, with a wonderful cast including Max Beesley, Patrick Baladi and Keith Allen.
People bark on about how we can't do anything like The Wire or Sopranos or whatever on UK TV, but this is easily up there with all those. I wonder how many people remember it?
Generally whenever there is something really really good on, it's treated as some kind of minority viewing. Mad Men is a good example of this. Won the Bafta for best international award (over The Wire), absolutely superb drama, but I can't help think that because it's shown on BBC Four and then late on BBC2 that the larger audience think it is somehow going to exlude them. Which is a shame. It's just bloody good drama.
