Surely the best way to deal with offenders is to ignore them? If people all decided to just not respond to their posts in any way, they'd soon get bored and piss off to some other forum. Part of what gets them off is prompting a reaction and stirring up trouble.

It's quite fun sometimes. A bit like the nutter in the pub. Sometimes they piss you off when you're trying to chat to a friend you haven't seen for ages, but sometimes it can be entertaining to goad them on, let them tell you their story about how they drove Ted Rogers to the station in 1978 and hear them rant on about their bitch of an ex-wife who didn't like their drinking habits.
I usually get little or no attention in 'Critique'. I might employ one of this lot as my Max Clifford...
