Channel 4's Comedy Lab....

I think they cancelled it this year and did not tell us. I remember sending something this time last year and getting rejected. Hmph!

Hey, they saved you the trouble this year then... good old Channel4, lambasted once again!! Those guys just can't get it right, can they?

Ive been wondering about this too, there doesnt seem to have been any news on the next one yet-is it still going?

No

Gee, poor old C4...

Still they do provide a valuable community service... someone to blame...

They said there would be news in early 2007 but nada. I think it's still going, but maybe not this year due to their financial problems.

Good, the Comedy Lab is god awful, has been the last few years anyway.

If they gave you a pilot, would you have turned it down?

Well no because my pilot would be good. :D

But seriously everything that has been on there is usually absolute drab and I'm a big Russell Brand fan but even his Comedy Lab show was appalling, although he was dosed up on heroin at the time.

I'll agree, it wasn't very good, I never watched lately either. Although I think 'Last Chancers' with Adam Buxton was Comedy Lab, I liked that and a big fan of Buxton.

Some good things have come from it. Trigger Happy TV, Pheonix Nights, etc.

Any door to new talent that closes is a bad thing, even if the majority of its ouput was bollocks; its one less place for people like us to go and try our luck.

Too true. The last one I saw was the speed-dating one, which was... well acted.

Oh don't get me wrong some good things have come from it in the past, I think "That Peter Kay Thing" may have started on there. But the last 4 or so years has been really bad. It gave birth to Bo Selecta for gods sake. :D

Bo'Selecta was alright the first few anyway
