I felt sorry for Graham Norton too - the audience really didn't warm to his jokes. He had to soldier on in silence. And the one quick witted joke he did make that, reportedly, made the audience laugh (the One Foot In The Grave one at McIntyre) was cut!

I think the fact that he tried to do a 'routine' annoyed the audience too (in fact he tried two - 'wee' and sitcom names). I'm sure I've heard him do his 'wee' routine before... The people presenting awards are there to do just that - not add another round of applause to their show reel. I have read that McIntyre isn't the most loved in the business - Jo Brand allegedly had words with him at Comic Relief.

I thought Rob Brydon was witty. And given that it was on the Beeb, and they are *so* proud of them, it was a surprise Horne and Corden weren't shoe-horned in

Sadly it doesn't work like that.

Michael McIntyre truly was terrible and having never liked him I did enjoy to see the look of fear and panic in his eyes instead of the usual smugness.

I think The IT Crowd is perhaps the most hit and miss sitcom of all time. Some episodes, like the work outing to the gay musical, are pretty much perfection whilst some, the last episode of series 3, are absolutely terrible.

Outnumbered should have won at least one.

Especially when you consider that effing Skins won one!

Oh reeeeeally? Do tell.

Allegedly he was told to f**k off out of her dressing room with the words "Nobody likes you, you know!!!" ringing in his ears after he told a joke about a banana (the banana part of this is a detail I am unclear about...)

I should imagine Jo Brand has words with a lot of people. She looks the sort.
