Horne & Corden Page 29

The episode last night was particularly bad. When even the audience in the studio aren't laughing, it's not looking good.

What was the running (literally) sketch with Kylie? Apart from piss poor...

Every sketch just went on too long and even the acting isn't great. I dunno but I get the feeling Horne and Cordens' hearts weren't really in this and it was all a bit rushed, or they thought it would be really easy to pull off with minimum effort.

Probably the latter if Corden is as arrogant as he comes across as. I'm sure they both think they are hilarious, and I'm sure they kept the cast and crew on Gavin & Stacey entertained, but laddish pratting about is not the same as making a comedy show.

For all their mockery, Corden almost IS David Brent. Brent thought himself hilarious; thought himself highly entertaining, and always thought he should be famous, whereas in reality he was uncomfortably embarrassing.

Too many people like Brent's mate Finchy have said "You're brilliant, you ought to have your own show..."..

Bet they wish they hadn't pre-recorded the studio bits now. Their opening of the final episode was un-intentionally very funny in light of what's happened over the previous six weeks...

Horne: "We really, really appreciate all the love and support you've given us on this show. We've had the best time."

And what was the point in doing the parent-teacher meetings in front of an audience? When they did the first one and Corden just said "Prick!", I thought that was going to be the only one - and was shocked that they'd perform that in front of an audience. And the other one was just a poor and not very funny idea - you could tell that it was going to be something like that, or "He's gay". In fact, for all I know, they might have done a "He's gay" one that I missed, I just whizzed through it on the iPlayer.

Lets face it, apart from the odd Xander moment, the show is shite.

I even feared for Xander, after he became more subdued in recent weeks.

When he calls Jibsom 'Old Bean' - I still find it funny. As I said though, in my opinion, the rest of the show is just a shower of shite. The show was billed as a Morecambe and Wise type show, but I watch it and think Horne and Corden are trying to be too many things: The Two Ronnies, M&W, Harry & Paul, Fast Show etc.

I thought this site was for comedy lovers alike? Let's face it; Horne & Corden is a load of shit, another over rated comedy duo milked till they're dry. Watch this space: the Horne and Corden Friday night show will be next!

Agreed

The BBC have released this press statement claiming that Horne & Corden was the channel's most successful premier series for a BBC Three comedy - but only in terms of ratings. You think that many of them are watching the series to see how crap it is.

Seems a bit of a passive aggressive press release. And what an absolute arse Danny Cohen is.

Ah, so that's why I didn't enjoy it, I'm not between 16 and 34. Why the f**k did I bother watching it, then? If only the BBC had catergorically informed me of this criteria in the first place I wouldn't have bothered. Cuh!

I'm between 16 and 34, and I didn't enjoy it either.

To true but even by the end they had enough:

First Episode = 1,373,000

Last Episode = 675,000

Eh?
