Wet Hot American Summer

Has anyone seen this American film comedy, from 2001, starring David Hyde-Pearce, Janeane Garofalo and Michael Showalter? I've watched about half an hour of it, and it's really good. It's sort of like Caddyshack, set on a Summer Camp. I don't know why it isn't better known.

David Hyde-Pierce Cool and Janeane Garofalo Cool Lovey? gonna have to look out for this.

Another little-known film I watched recently, was The Independent, starring Jerry Stiller, and Janeane Garofalo again. I recommend both these films.

Mystery Men - the cast is excellent - Garofalo, Stiller, Hank Azaria, Geoffrey Rush, William H Macy, Greg Kinnear, Eddie Izzard. don't get much more Balf- friendly than that.

Yeah, I remember renting that, years ago. The Blue Raja, The Shoveller, and The Baby Bowler, etc. Was that based on a real comic?

I bought the US version of that before it was out here. I thought it would be good. I was wrong.

Funniest movie ever made, in spite of David Hyde Pearce and Janeane Garofalo. It was written by David Wain and Michael Showalter. Wain directed and Showalter plays the lead role of "Coop." They've done a lot of great stuff from stand-up to TV. Both are members of the comedy troupe Stella (along with Michael Ian Black) which had a hilarious sitcom on Comedy Central about 5 years ago by the same name which I highly recommend. Also worth checking out if you enjoyed WHAS are Wain's webseries "Wainy Days" (http://www.mydamnchannel.com/Wainy_Days/Season_1/1Shelly_388.aspx) and Showalter's more recent film "The Baxter."
