She should have been nominated for best comedy performance.

Definitely.

If Outnumbered doesn't win in every category it's nominated, it's a crime.

I like the show, but out of the below, I'd say Skinner would be my last choice.

- Rob Brydon Gavin and Stacey
- Sharon Horgan Pulling
- David Mitchell Peep Show
- Clare Skinner Outnumbered

Definitely.

In theory, deffo.

But I'm not sure if giving big awards to ickle kids is very erm... I dunno. Might make her go mental or something in manner of Macauley Culkin.

Better to just let her quietly get on with it.

We could give her secret awards.

Sounds a bit dirty.

RAMONA MARQUEZ OVERDOSES ON LOLLIES AT 9

Aww!!

Details have also been announced for the audience award, the only BAFTA which is voted for by the public. The nominations for award are:

* The Apprentice
* Coronation Street
* Outnumbered
* Skins
* Wallender
* The X Factor

My vote is going to Outnumbered.

If The Wire doesn't win the International award I'll eat my own hand.

Pass the pepper...

The X Factor? Better than TV Burp, QI and Sunday Night Project? What bunch of "experts" judges these things?

Jennifer Saunders was brilliant. Stole the show and well deserved award.

As much as I like Michael McIntyre he was very hard to watch last night.

I was surprised to see The IT Crowd beat The Inbetweeners and Outnumbered.

Agreed.

Agreed. The Outnumbered kids looked genuinely pissed off and upset! They'll get their time, I'm sure - British Comedy Awards, definitely.

I agree too. I spotted that when The IT Crowd won, they cut to a shot of Ramona Marquez (Karen in Outnumbered). Wonder if the BBC were hoping to catch her crying?

Claire Skinner bought them a big ice-cream afterwards and let them stay up late.

Laughing out loud

Amazing story of how Ramona Marquez got chosen for the part in Outnumbered. I found out while searching for other stuff she had been in (to find nothing) but her story cheered me up no end. Who needs acting school!?

Have you seen series 2 isn't out on DVD until November? Anyone know why?

Good wins for The IT Crowd and Harry and Paul.

Also thought it was quite amusing that cast members from The Wire were there, probably thinking they're on a promise for Best International award and they were pipped by (the equally superb) Mad Men. Which was represented by nobody, doubtless presuming as with everybody else that The Wire would walk it.
