He must be American because there are no gay or camp English men. Fact.

Right ...

That was the (straight) Mr. Roper character from 'Three's Company.' I think the UK original was called 'Man About the House' or something like that?

Correct. :)

Here's our George (from George and Mildred)

It's actually a day dedicated to George Roper from George and Mildred. Probably the greatest Englishman ever.

Laughing out loud

And Man About The House.
Wasn't George & Mildred a spin off?

Man About The House was spun-off to become George & Mildred and Robin's Nest. Of the three programmes, George & Mildred was the most successful (and IMO rightly so). All three were re-made Stateside.

True, but I meant the picture was from George & Mildred. Well, I think it is anyway. :D

And a big happy St. George's Day to everyone. I am wearing my finest St. George's cross (yes, he is) jewellery to celebrate.

Sadly, I can confirm that yes, it is.

I hated 'Three's Company' and its spin-offs, if only for making Suzanne Somers a star. John Ritter annoyed me, but reading about him after his untimely demise changed my opinion.

Sounds very chavy. :)

I'm wearing a Mary Queen of Scots style amber cross as it happens.

I thought he was a good comedy actor who wasn't best served by the roles he took. Although I liked him in Scrubs.

One area in which I allow my inner-northerner to show.

Is he still in there?
Honestly, you cook and eat one Yorkshireman...

Aw!

Isn't it certain parts of London where the BNP have their biggest following, e.g. winning Local Elections?
