Hell's Kitchen 2009

Not sure if there is already a thread for this. I checked and couldn't find one.

Those who are watching it, what do you make of Marco?

I find him very intriguing, I know this persona is probably something hammed up for TV but I find him a very interesting person. His appraoch is better than Gordon Ramsey.

I would like to see Danielle, Aide or Miss Dynamite win. Perhaps Danielle is my favourite though. I loved being proved wrong about someone as I thought she would be a bit stuck up, but she seems sweet and a very nice person. What the hell is she doing with Lineker.

He's a cock, and more than a little strange.

His approach is better than Gordon Ramsey.

I don't think it is. If you've seen Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen in the US you'd see that it's much better. And it features more cooking and less whining celebrities.

I'd like to see Ade win, he was brilliant on the pass last night.

Um, now let's see...

Ex-Air Hostess, Danielle Bux is on Hell's kitchen as a direct result of being Lineker's fiancé - Result! Back of the net!

= good career move (Danielle Bux)

= mid-life crisis/divorce/big ears (Gary Lineker)

"So, Debbie McGee, "what first attracted you to millionaire Paul Daniels?"

"So, 20-year-old Ms Ivanova, "what first attracted you to 61-year-old millionaire Ronnie Wood?"

I think Ramsey's swearing is what puts me off. He can change a kitchen around in terms of what food they serve and what the restaurant looks like but he hasn't a clue how to man manage. That's where Marco is much better, he knows how to deal with people. Yes, he maybe a bit of an actor, but he gets the best out of people, Ramsey doesn't seem to.

I think Ramsey does get the best out of people in the end. So he swears a lot, big deal. I'd rather that than the lovey dovey crap Marco is spouting. Hell's Kitchen my ass.

I think at least Ramsey on telly seems to be an approximation of the man himself. Marco is so far up his own arse I'm surprised he hasn't turned himself inside out. All that quasi-deep mystic self-help shit that he spouts really pisses me off. "Show me the sandwich, I'll show you the person." My arse. Show ME someone who wears a towel wrapped round his head while cooking and I'll show you a big-headed egotistical twat.

Laughing out loud

You don't motivate people by getting right up in their face and telling them what a 'useless f**ker' they really are. If you're trying to motivate somebody to do their best, telling them that they are f**king useless will surely have the opposite effect.

I think it's supposed to make them fight back. Everyone knows Ramsey is like that, so they should be going into it with their eyes wide open to his ways. It's supposed to be entertaining in the end. I've enjoyed the series, but it's nowhere near as good as Ramsey's. All the stuff between Jody and Marco just made me wanna throw up.

I just think Marco is more about Marco than the food. And didn't he make Ramsey cry when he taught him anyway?

I'm not totally sure what happened with this so can't really say.

We will have to agree to disagree then. I am enjoying this series though.

Ok. Me too, just not as much as Ramsey's.

Yeah that was good. I didn't really enjoy the Novelli/Rhodes one though, it was shit in fact.

I've seen little bits, as I love Ade.
That boy (Jodie?) is such a little twunt.
But Marco 'sees a bit of himself' in him so apparently he can go around being a cocky runt and calling people bitches as much as he likes. :)

Now there's something we can agree on. :D

Not anymore, he was the first sacked. He made himself look a right cock by doing a bunk over the wall and then hardly turning up for his post-sacking interview.

Reeeally?
Excellent. Oh, I wish I'd seen that episode, now.
