I doubt she'll get sacked.
The nurse in question was reinstated in February. And has resumed looking after the same patient, who was not offended by the prayer offer and did not make a complaint.
Prayer nurse Caroline Petrie returns to work

Caroline Petrie, the community nurse suspended for offering to pray for a patient's recovery, has returned to work after being reinstated.
Mrs Petrie returned to work saying she was 'relieved' the issue had been resolved. Mrs Petrie said she would continue to remain true to her profession and offer blessings where appropriate.
The 45-year-old from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, was removed from duties last December after asking an elderly patient if she wanted to pray for her. Although the 79-year-old woman, from Winscombe, Somerset, was not offended, she was "taken aback" by the suggestion and reported the comment to her carer.
Mrs Petrie was subsequently suspended on suspicion of failing to "demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to equality and diversity", while the hospital investigated.
Earlier this month, North Somerset Primary Care Trust relented and said she could resume her post. Mrs Petrie returned to work saying she was "relieved" the issue had been resolved.
She said: "I feel really happy to be going back to work. In a way it was good to be able to talk things through with my bosses and now we all know where we stand I think it will be easier."
She added: "I can still pray for my patients as long as I keep within the boundaries of the care plan, and ask them first whether they have any spiritual needs."
Mrs Petrie, a mother-of-two, said she understood that any complaint had to be investigated. "But it is all behind me now so I am just looking forward to going back to work and doing the job I love."
She added that she would go back to the woman who made the complaint. "There is no air of awkwardness or anger so of course I will go back and do her dressings again. I just know now not to offer to pray for her."

Yes, but not every one agrees.
So the nurse got a big dollop of what the police call "gardening leave" good for her.
And she is allowed to ask patients if she can pray for them, which is what she wanted.
Ok it was phrased clumsily but then so are all government legal decisions.
If Poitical Correctness it lost on this one. But then it doesn't exist so who cares?

And if it were a gay male nurse, he would have got 'uphill-gardening' leave.
Ooops! I am not homophobic - some of my best friends are shirt-lifters.
Started liking yourself atlast sweetness...and me!
Oh with God on our side we'll save this marriage of ours.
Do you mind if I pray for us?
Human sacrifice will do.
Do you know where that nurse lives?
In our cellar, you really are the most forgetful serial killer I ever married.
I bet you haven't even given Lord Lucan his afternoon carrots yet.
