British Comedy Guide

What have you gained from this site?

This is meant to be a positive reflection on how this site has benefited you, not a provocation to be negative!

I'm new but I was recommended to the site by others and it seems to be a lively forum with some talented people posting interesting work. Both the short and long term developments happening and planned for the writers area of the site will make this the best comedy writers web site I've been on, I reckon.

As well as that there are some annoying, self opinionated types to have a pop at... which is always a good source fun... I expect a few will want to lift this statement and tell me I am one of them! ;)

Cool

Yeah, the discussion on here is like sex if you're a prostitute - it's always better when it's not anal.

I'm guilty of some stupid posts too... sometimes I go back and delete them... other times they just hang there for everybody to see my error of judgement!

:)

Hey ho, I'm human, I have flaws!

I like the site because it seems chilled out... and the moderators soon ban the unwanted and your stuff gets judged properly... YEAH MAN... its a nice place to chat and show your work after a long day down the pitt with your trusty Budgie..
i like nuthink better than to read what you guys write... there are some bloody funny people on here and as long as it stays that way the moderators wont have to pay me to hunt down the mother fuc**t* and teach em a lesson... six pats on the back for BSG and some tasty baternburg back at old loose sticky vick leightons bar tabac... i'll buy the first round but the pole dance is down to you.... suckers

What have I gained from this site? - Tons of free material!! It's like a plagiarists dream.

But seriously, I've gained some good ebuddys and loads of useful tips and advice.

This isn't the longest I've stayed on a forum, but I bet it will be.

A rash

From a virus?

I'll tell you in a couple of months.

Basically I've made several liaissons and worked on several projects which I wouldn't have done otherwise.

It's all been enjoyable and hopefully something could come out of it!

I love this site because of the people, the free and frank exchanges (as long as we keep them civil, gents and ladies), the fact that there is a greater sense of community here that others places can't touch.

And that's all down to you guys. You keep me wanting to come back.

"Ah, thanks," say the man who's only been here five minutes, but does enjoy muscling in on other's glory.

I like this forum because it (to me) seems like the only place where like-minded people can discuss writing.

I don't think anyone thinks they're much better than anyone else - except for me of course!

....mmmm ;)

I really value the way people on here want to help each other, whether it's helpful feedback on sketches or sharing knowledge about competitions, talent calls etc. It doesn't feel like a snake pit.

Friendliest forum I've encountered of those on a multitude of subjects I frequent, not just writing. If someone here doesn't like your stuff you kinda know when they say it that it's a genuine opinion/comment ... not just somebody grinding their own axe. I can live with that!
