I hope this forum doesn't go the same way "C4"

I genuinely hope this forum learns from the mistakes that the "Channel 4 Laughs" made.

It is perhaps difficult to know what went wrong but some people, not just me, felt that a clique took over and that this was detrimental to creativity.

Any suggestions about how we can stop that happening here ?.

I think more people post here, and on a more regular basis, so thats one advantage.

Kent Pete it's not happening here so there is nothing to prevent

I don't agree with what you say about 4laughs but I'm not going to argue with you. I like 4laughs so that's good enough for me. I don't need you to like it. There are plenty of good people still there.

Anyway, why do you think there is anything wrong on BSG?

...it seems fine...

:)

I have remained in this forum longer then any other since I been on the web I find everyone genuinely pleasant and except the occasional idiot I cannot see that changing. Sure we have our characters like Leevil, Charley and maybe Dave chapman...the test are yet to come in, but we're all pretty grounded and have respect for everyones opinions.

I really don't think there is any room for concern, we're mostly harmless. Except don't talk to me I'm a very busy man ;)

Even if it appears clique, I feel it certainly is not the case. Just check out the introduction threads, sometimes spanning into double figures. We welcome all with open arms.

I don't see the point in comparing this site with 4Laughs. Two different sites, with two different objectives.

If you have any complaints, ideas or suggestions post them in the appropriate forum - https://www.comedy.co.uk/forums/forum/8. Or PM a mod or Administrator.

I don't think this forum is cliquey at all. I always feel as if people give their genuine opinions in the critique forum and on comedy in general on here. 4Laughs is about getting points and Channel 4 pretending they care about their members and acting like posting stuff there gives you more of a chance of 'making it' when it doesn't at all.

Here people are just looking for feedback or tips and advice and most here are willing to give that.

Frankie Rage.

"You in fact claimed to be the best writer on 4laughs on several occasions even though you had posted very little and then had the affront to blame other 4laughers (even naming individuals) when the moderators deleted your threads for breaking the forum rules".

Be honest Frankie, that was Craigey67 and he is long gone, thank God.

I hope so... you don't still hear his voice in your head then?

Anyway, I've amended my post (see above)... you have your point of view, I have mine, we don't agree...

Likewise the other posters who have not found 4laughs to their taste, fair enough, but this is BSG, I'd rather talk about that...

:)

I don't really see what the point of this is. I've not been on 4laughs so don't know anything about it apart from the criticism it gets here.

Also it seems that the refugees from there seem a bit paranoid!

Paranoid? When? Who? Where? Why?

I agree with Paul, Kent Pete, don't worry. If this was a certain forum your posts would have been deleted for some vague and unclarified reason and you'd have been banned without warnings. But this is BSG. Totally different.

Kick off your shoes, lie back, and listen to the sounds of the Leevil bird as it chirps its way through 3000 posts in one evening. :D

It can seem daunting because some people have been mates for many months here and it's always tough being the New Kid on the Block. Try PMing a few people who seem to be into your kind of humour and see if you click. You have a knack for writing very good prose but sometimes it comes in floods and maybe it can seem intimidating. Maybe.

:)

Everyone is friendly and if there is a clique then it's all-inclusive and encompasses the whole site and all the users.

Everyone is friendly

I'm not!

NO Dave isn't but we normally just throw him some left over biscuits a dirty mags and he keeps himself to himself :):D

I hope you mean dirty as in perverted rather than stained magazines.

C4 kicked mee off-for being "too young"
