I'd imagine they will have enough for the whole series rather than take any more submissions.

They've probably got enough submissions for twenty series.

Somebody mentioned earlier they were going to the recordings for this this week. Any chance of jotting down the Vox pops used or any additional material names credited?

[And hello.]

And hello.

I still haven't heard anything either way, so seconded.

Or I suppose I could just, y'know, email them...

Best to wait for them to email.

I'm guessing they'll record the shows and then get in touch with anyone whose material didn't end up on the floor of the editing suite. I can't see this being on my CV for school of comedy!

You're probably right, which is why I thought if somebody could report that they did a bunch of vox pops that seemed to be about unusual skin diseases or wierdoes on buses, then false hope could be given to those who might have vaguely mentioned a skin complaint or public transport -- keeping them warm and optimistic in the dark depressing months before broadcast.

It'd be a useful service, and could even save lives.

Just to clarify, nobody on here who has sent in stuff has either been rejected or not heard anything at all?

There's been several rejection notices sent out.

I sent in several topics on the first day. I was contacted later that week and asked for some more on one of those topics. I sent them off and haven't heard anything since.

No one has heard that their stuff is going to be accepted is the case. I believe.

It would be nice if they just said to the minority that did get in: your sketches have been shortlisted. So we know. But I'm not going to rock the boat.

I thought they might have not got mine or something but seeing as a few people are waiting then I'm still under the disillusion that I might get something in. :)

There seem to be a few more doors opening at the moment so its good news. Its getting through that second door that's proving tough.

I was frustrated by this at first, when I saw that some people had got replies, but I think they were genuinely overwhelmed by the response close to the deadline, and have been doing what they can to wade through them.

My guess is that not many have heard one way or the other since the floodgates opened. I'm not expecting a reply. Having labelled mine, vox pox, I'm assuming it's been forwarded to a documentary on the effects of STDs on porn stars' vocal chords.

Did anyone go to these recordings? Also, when is this scheduled for broadcast? I still don't know if my submission was used.

Forgive me if this is a naive question but would they be able to use someone's submission without informing them first? This seems very wrong to me.
