Does anyone fancy writing a joint sketch on here? Page 14

More a change to my ususal style, half a page with out a gag is unusual for me.

Quote: don rushmore @ April 13 2009, 5:34 PM BST

Yeah, it's normally a full page without a gag.

Quote: sootyj @ April 13 2009, 5:36 PM BST

Maybe with out a good gag, but I sprinkle gags likes hundreds and thousands.

Hilarious response! (Please don't go Don!)

It's very funny in Swahili I believe.

A fine attitude to have in the amateur world, Dolly - but if you have that mentality as a professional, you will get eaten alive.

You don't have to show who you are but you should justify why you have the right to make comments like that ^

You haven't proven yourself as a good writer in critique and you haven't told us why you have such a great knowledge of the "professional" world.

There are writers on here who have become relatively succesful and so their input is always appreciated but you have all the opinions and nothing to show why we should listen to you!

No.

As long as it went no further than the brick then. I'm sorry that you've encountered one instance of petty hostility in this thread after expressing your critical opinion. I've been greatly impressed by the high level of decorum in this forum, i.e. - the general absence of flaming and spiteful puerile insults.

:S

I'd love to know who you are referring to Kenneth. Do you have ties to Don or what? that can be the only explanation for what you have said on this thread.

The "eaten alive" comment, Tom, is not really an opinion as such - more an absolute fact.

And, as for the "why should we listen to you?" - you don't have to listen to me, at all.

Yes, but you can only truely say that if you work in the professional world.

Give it time, Kenneth. Give it time.

There are no sides, just people wasting time online.

It is true to say that TV is not one of the nicest industries.

No I imagine its not but Don speaks with this air of authority and patronising tone and hasn't said what he bases this attitude on!

I don't think he is being patronising he's just not sugar coating what he says.

Sorry Kenneth, I assumed you knew Don. The Maldives is just a "stones" throw away from Australia.

Is that Eric Idle?
