Jupitus On Torture Porn Page 6

I thought the original Saw and to a lesser extent Hostel were pretty good. All the sequels are just sick though.

Sigh married for 20 years and it's still like that nervous first night in prison.

I know. You never forget your first time - when you bend down to pick up the soap in the showers. I'll never do that again (well, not for any old Tom, Dick or Harry).

Yes I remember we all called you Tom, I was Dick but what ever happened to Harry?

Male prostitute. 'Harry's Game' - for anything.

Succesful though, Clannad wrote his theme tune.

I think people are becoming desensitized to violence and porn, and it's quite worrying.

Partly. That people are desensitised to pornography is not inherently bad. Anything which gets people talking about sex and more relaxed to it can only be a good though in the long run.

The type of pornography people are watching is a different thing entirely...

Torture porn is nothing to get choked up about and people who complain about amputee porn don't have a leg to stand on.

Heh.

Although I do think if young boys watch a lot of porn ('normal' porn, not even the weird stuff), before they actually have sex, they are going to have some really unhealthy and weird expectations, of the act itself and of what the women will look like/behave like.

Coprophiles are full of shit?

To be honest, boys and men now have almost as much pressure put on them to look good. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales/3272011.stm

Maybe, maybe.
I'm just assuming that young boys watch a bit more porn online than young girls. Although I'm sure they're all at it, the dirty litle f**kers.

Erm Dolly you may be about to fall down a very deep metaphorical rabbit hole.

I don't have what could be considered the world's greatest mental health. But as long as I obey the law and keep my trousers on in public that's my business.

I work with a lot of people who are not "emotionally healthy." And attempts to make them healthy has blighted their lives.

That's a view that would disturb me.

Many people have a rich and creative imaginative fantasy life.

I do so agree.

It's not neccessarily porn. Young girls drooling over boybands or premier ship footballers puts increased pressure on young men to look good. Hell, some might find a woman rhapsodising over Mister Tennant puts unrealistic pressure on them. I'm just saying, the pressure to look good cuts both ways, and doesn't always emanate from pornography.

Very true.
But this thread was about porn, so that's what I was talking about. :)

Actually, it's about a genre of film called Torture Porn, which refers to a very narrow genre of film. As for porn, I know nothing about that and will bow out. Whistling nnocently Wave
