I'm surprised no one has mentioned the real George Costanza - Larry David.
Your favourite sitcom character and why Page 3
That misantropic axe wielding maniac from Friends.
Mannie from Black Books
Who or what is GOB?
Can I vote for Humphrey Appleby?
Ah right, ok. I've got series one on my PC at home. Really must watch at some point.

Was that Eddie?
The same actor was in Joey's second season, playing a different role (that of Joey's best mate from way back). I know he's not the brightest match in the pack, but you'd have thought he recognised him when he moved in with Chandler.
Incidentally, Chandler and Arnold Rimmer are probably my favourites.
Dan
... Oi you!
Prince George (Adder II) is tops in my opinion, with George (Sein) a close 2nd. Fighting it out for 3rd spot are Rupert Rigsby, Alan Partridge and Bernard Black.
Partridge, Rimmer, GOB and George Costanza are the first that spring to mind. Because they are all brilliant creations.
I just noticed my favourite four are all cocks to some degree too. Hmm.
Quote: ContainsNuts @ October 30 2007, 12:17 AM BSTIts between Brent, Partridge and Blackadder.
All three are ace, comedy genius creations, but Edmund and Alan pwn Brent's arse overall. Bernard from Black Books is better too.
But one of my favourite obscure ones was Nick from My Family.
Expletive words can't describe how I hate that show.

Yeah, good call on Rimmer: an excellent character, definitely the best on Dwarf. GOB is great of course, but I think Tobias might be my favourite AD character, so many quality scenes with him featuring.

gareth from the office.
Good choices. Dougal is brilliant. My fave Father Ted episode would probably be the "Entertaining Father Stone" episode. The one where Stone went into the bathroom to do a dump when Ted was in the bath.
Honerable mentions to the Lingerie Store one (Christmas special) and Lovely Girl competition. I always prefered the Milk Float episode to the kicking Bishop Brennan up the arse one. I love the line from the vengfull milkman on the phone. " ...and now I've got to pull myself off 24/7 because I've got no proper sex with girls"

He was never really as funny as the Jason Alexander version, though.
I wouldn't mind stepping into The Grapes and spending my life with the cast of Early Doors.

And I'd happily go for a drink at Cheers. Norm would be a great drinking buddy.
