The film or book, or both? I thought the film was a bit boring, some nice effects though, gruesome.

Aren't all TV/film aliens ultimately pretty similar? It's been a while since we saw any really original screen aliens.

I thought the shadow creatures in Library were pretty cool.
And the statues.
But I suppose the question is about creating something from CGI.
