I miss the days of old when you'd pop all the tubes out of the set and take them to a store with a tube testing device. Those were some prime bonding moments with my father.

Noooooo! It's fifteen years old, but I love it. I've just bought a digital receiver thingy for it.
It looks as if it's a weak capacitor, reacts badly to heat. I refuse to let him die. Even if fixing him costs more than a new one.
