Where were you a year ago today?

A depressing thought has just sent me into a morning slumber, a year ago today I was flying from Bangkok to Koh Samui in Thailand, beautiful weather/beaches/people.

Today I am work, not great weather, no beaches and the people? Well I'll leave it to your imagination...

Where were you a year ago today? Or better yet are you somewhere happy now?

:) :)

I was at work.

I was probably sitting where I am now. No, hang on, I was at a different desk.

According to my calendar, I was explaining to one of our suppliers why they are shit.

I was lying on my bed alone in the great oak-panelled St. Mungo's Hospital For The Insane, listening to the rhythmic beat of dragon wings drifting in from outside. Happily, I am now back working for Haringey Social Services providing a wide range of services to older people.

I was struggling to get all of my essays done for my second year at uni. This year I'm struggling to get all of my essays done for my third year at uni.

I don't like this thread. It's like designed to remind us how little our lives have moved on.

Or designed to motivate you to do more.... depends which way you look at it...

I'm not even sure what I was doing last week! :S

Now I come to think of it, this time last year I'd just posted a "I wonder what we'll all be doing in a year's time?" thread. If you have time, have a look for it. Whistling nnocently

I think I was visiting my girlfriend and family in Florida.

I was prooobably still sat on my bed, on holidays, stressing about work. :P

I had just sailed around the world in a world record time for a woman.

According to my email I had a preparation meeting for our quarterly membership event and I was working on our next magazine so basically the same as this week.

Ho hum...

April 9th 1999 was the due date for our first child (though she arrived 5 days early) so I in fact have more vivid recollections from a decade ago than last year.

I looked back at my emails too. I was rehearsing for a live sketch show.
